Venue – Elements

Add Element

Depending on the chosen measurement model, there are elements that you can add to the venue, such as stage, jumbotron and curve shape. These elements can be found at the bottom of the venue page. Curvature is a more complex feature, so it has its own section below.

Stage

Use toggle switch to activate the feature.
Set the size of the stage (depth & width & height).
The position parameter determines where the down stage edge of the stage is relative to the selected reference. Use a negative or positive number depending on which direction from the reference the stage is placed.
Select the reference for the position parameter.
Set curvature to make the front edge of the stage curved. More information about the feature in the curvature section.

Jumbotron

Use toggle switch to activate the feature.
Set the size of the jumbo (depth & width & height).
Set the bottom height of the jumbo from the floor.
The position parameter determines where the bottom center of the jumbo is relative to the floor center. Use a negative or positive number depending on which direction from the reference the jumbo is placed.

Curve

Curve is supported only in the Basic model.

The curve function requires at least two measurement points within the profile to function properly. The first measurement point should always be taken from the front row.

Step 1 – Measure Curve

Measure the depth of the curve from the center of the first row to the edge of the same row.
The style of the curve can be arc or straight.

Step 2 – Add Center Piece

If needed, a straight center piece can be added inside the curved listening area. Set width separately for start and end.

Step 3 – Define Profile Position

The curve algorithm needs to know at which point on the curve the profile has been measured. If the profile has not been measured from the center of the listening area, specify the position as the distance from the center.

Step 4 – Optional Modifiers

The match profile algorithm calculates the curve in a way that the profile stays the same in the entire area from the center to the side. This is the default setting.
The match curve algorithm keeps the depth of the curve the same in the entire area from front to back, regardless of the width of the listening area. This can cause the profile to change slightly depending on the width of the listening area.
In manual mode, you can define the depth of the curve separately in the front and back.
Define how the first plane starts. By default, the beginning ot the first plane (that starts from where the measurement is started) is drawn straight and the curvature starts from the first measurement point. If you want, you can use the “Skip First Plane” function, so this front area is left undrawn.
Define how the first plane starts. By default, the beginning ot the first plane (that starts from where the measurement is started) is drawn straight and the curvature starts from the first measurement point.
It is also possible to start drawing the curve right from the place where the measurement was started. The front width of the listening area is always set at the point where the curve begins.
Note

If you are familiar with the curve function, you can change the operation of the algorithm according to your needs. The default settings are designed to work for typical situations and changing them is completely optional.
