Venue – Basic

Model: Basic

This measurement model is made for basic venues, such as concert halls, festivals, theaters, flat floors and so on.

Measure

Step 1 – Measure the venue profile

Measure the profile of the venue. See how to measure guide for more info.

Set the Width for the profile. (Change measurement mode for dual width)
The audience Listening Height can be set.
(Not all output formats support this)

Step 2 – Modify the parameters if needed

When the first measurement target is taken to the front row, it may be appropriate to leave the first plane undrawn, use Skip First Plane for this.
When Back Wall Height is set, additional plane is created after last measured target. This function can be turned off by setting the value to zero.
Side Walls can also be created.

Step 3 – Add elements, change the measurement mode or change file origin.

Note

Back Wall can be used as ”ArrayProcessing Wall” or for overshooting purposes with autosplay feature.

Measurement Mode

At the bottom of the page you can find the measurement mode button. This menu allows you to customize how the venue is measured.

Single Width

Same width is used for the whole profile.
If “calculate width from angle” is activated, the width of the venue can also be determined using an angle. The angle can be measured from the center to the rear corner or from the front corner to the rear corner, choose the setting accordingly.

Dual Width

Start and end width can be defined separately. This is suitable, for example, for fan-shaped venues.
If “calculate width from angle” is activated, the rear width of the venue can also be measured using an angle. The angle can be measured from the center to the rear corner or by measuring the fan angle from the venue edge, choose the setting accordingly.

Multi Width

In multi mode, width can be set separately for each measured target.

Origin

File Origin

At the bottom of the page you can find the origin menu button.
In the Basic model, the origin of the file is by default the place where the profile measurement was started.
The origin of the file can be moved relative to the profile measurement location using, for example, a custom value.
If the origin is moved, the orginal measurement point of the profile is marked with a yellow circle in the preview.
